GNM: General Nursing and Midwifery is a diploma course in the nursing education field. It is a three-year-long course, after which one can be employed as a nurse in a clinical, hospital and community health setting or pursue further education for specialization.

Minimum education qualification for selection of GNM candidates is:

  • HSSLC (10+2) or its equivalent passed preferably Science (PCB) and English with aggregate of 40% marks.
  • 10+2 in Arts (Maths, Biotechnology, Economic, Political Science, History, Geography, Business Studies, Accountancy, Home Science, Sociology, Psychology, Philosophy) and English Core/ Elective or Health Care Science - Vocational stream ONLY, passing out from recognised Board under AISSCE/CBSCE/ICSCE/SSCE/HSCE or other equivalent Board with 40% marks.
  • 10+2 vocational ANM under CBSE Board or other equivalent Board from the school and recognised by Indian Nursing Council with 40% marks.
  • Registered as ANM with State Nursing Registration Council.
  • Students qualified in 10+2 Arts or Science examination or Health Care Science- Vocational stream ONLY conducted by National Institute of Open School with 40% marks.

(The SSUHS has declared that the CEE examination will be held on 14th July 2024. The registration period is from 10th May 2024 to 10th June 2024)
