Surakhya Trust has been registered as a charitable trust in Assam under the Indian Trust Act, 1882 in the year 2001.


Main objects of this trust include:


 

i) Aid & Medical Relief to the poor, destitute & distressed persons.

ii) Advancement of education & knowledge.

iii) Alleviation of poverty through implementation of socio-economic programmes/ schemes & social and welfare services.

iv) Surakhya Trust has successfully completed the following:

a) Established a Blood Bank attached to Arya Hospital

b) Many Health-camps have been organized in Kamrup, Goalpara, Nagaon districts etc. till date where more than 5000 people were given free check-up, treatment, low cost investigation and surgical treatment.

c) More than 300 cataract cases under the Blind Control Programme are identified and their treatment at Sankardev Netralaya were arranged.

d) Free CT investigations were done to manny cases so far.

e) Low-cost surgery like Lap-chole, Appendectomy, Orthopaedic are offered to quite a number of patients.

f) Extended services to Bomb-blast & Emergency cases.

h) Free orientation programmes to GNM/ANM nursing personnels.

i) Donated hearing aids to handicapped poor people.

j) Donated wheel-chairs to handicapped persons.

k) Established Arya Nursing College & Arya School of Nursing.
